Howard P. Davis is an attorney concentrating in environmental issues.
Mr. Davis' law practice is dedicated to serving the environmental legal needs of small and mid-sized manufacturing companies, real estate developers, owners and operators, and the legal firms representing these companies. Mr. Davis' law practice concentrates in environmental issues arising from real estate and business transactions, defending against government environmental enforcement actions, recovery of environmental costs from insurance companies, government funds, and private party actions. Mr. Davis counsels clients regarding environmental regulatory compliance issues including the Industrial Site Recovery Act ("ISRA"), New Jersey's Spill Compensation and Control Act (the "Spill Act"), the New Jersey State and Federal Clean Water and Clean Air Acts, RCRA, CERCLA, wetlands, transaction-triggered laws, and due-diligence in lending and securities transactions. Mr. Davis has published numerous articles and has lectured on various environmental issues before legal and trade associations. Mr. Davis received a law degree from Fordham University School of Law, and received and LL.M. in Environmental Law from Pace University School of Law. Mr. Davis is admitted to the New York bar and New Jersey bar. Mr. Davis is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association (including its Environmental Law Section), and the Bergen County Bar Association.
